A leading figure in menswear, Alessandro Squarzi's effortlessly cool street style has made waves globally, inspiring fashion enthusiasts from all corners.
With his signature silver hair, calm presence, and ever-friendly smile, Alessandro's unique flair catches the eye of any photographer. His outfits, a blend of casual and classic, never fail to steal the show.
For years, this Italian style icon has been a muse for two of the most respected street photographers of our time: Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist and Tommy Ton.

In 2009, Alessandro began drawing attention in fashion circles when Scott Schuman featured him on his iconic blog. Schuman’s eye for fashion personalities is renowned, with Nick Wooster being another example of his ability to spot those who stand out. Alessandro was no exception. After that fateful post, interest in him soared.
Today, Alessandro and Scott share a close friendship, with even their styles converging over the years.
In response to his rising fame, Alessandro joined Instagram, giving fans a glimpse into his daily life and personal style.
Alessandro’s fashion is hard to define, even for him.
He refers to it simply as “my classic.” Drawing from classic American influences and Japanese fabrics, Alessandro combines his favorite elements in a way that reflects his Italian heritage and his personal experiences at 57, resulting in a look that’s unmistakably his own.
One thing is constant: his love for white pants.
Alessandro’s signature look almost always includes white pants, no matter the weather or occasion.
Though experimental with his wardrobe, Alessandro avoids short-sleeved shirts entirely.
He expertly mixes colors and patterns, adding depth and character to his outfits.
His layering always looks intentional yet effortless, creating a natural sense of style that’s both thoughtful and spontaneous.
Alessandro’s love for fashion isn’t a recent phenomenon. Born in Forli, Northern Italy, into a working-class family, his journey in fashion began in 1992 as a sales assistant in a clothing store.
"I don't plan what I wear based on the weather – I dress according to my mood."
Now, Alessandro runs four showrooms across Italy and owns three fashion brands: Fortela, AS65, and Atlantic Stars.
Apart from fashion, Alessandro has a passion for collecting vintage cars, watches, and other unique items. Though he enjoys his hobbies and entrepreneurial pursuits, his greatest love is for his daughter, Allegra.

"She’s strong. If Allegra wants to follow in my footsteps in the fashion world, I’ll be there to support her every step of the way, continuing the legacy of Alessandro Squarzi."
