To celebrate Euro 2016, British graphic designer Angelo Trofa created eight stunning new jersey designs for eight national teams. What makes these jerseys truly special is that they aren't produced by the usual sportswear giants like Nike, Adidas, Puma, or Reebok. Instead, they're inspired by high-fashion designers representing each country.
From England's kit "sponsored" by Alexander McQueen, to France’s by Chanel, Spain’s inspired by Loewe, and more, these designs are a dream come true for fashion enthusiasts around the world.
England Team: This design stands out with bold swallow motifs that add an edgy, yet classy touch, perfectly blending fashion with football.
France Team: The navy blue and white jersey features subtle patterns, the iconic Chanel logo, and of course, the signature tricolor stripes of the Gaulish Roosters, embracing French elegance.
Spain Team: The jerseys are inspired by Loewe's signature geometric patterns, with colors representing Spain’s national flag, creating a striking, fashion-forward look.
Italy Team: Gucci’s design is practically an art exhibition, complete with embroidery and patches. Italy’s jerseys are romantic, featuring floral prints, bee embroidery, and the classic green-red stripes of Gucci.
Germany Team: Germany's away jersey shines in a dominant green color, perfectly aligned with Jil Sander's modern color block style, delivering a sleek, minimalist vibe.
Russia Team: Gosha Rubchinskiy brings the sports style of the 1980s back to life with these nostalgic and bold designs.
Sweden Team: This design showcases the minimalist, all-black style synonymous with Acne Studios, bringing a cool, understated aesthetic to the pitch.
Belgium Team: Belgium's jerseys feature impressionistic, striped designs combining layers of colors - capturing the essence of Dries Van Noten's eclectic and creative approach to fashion.
