No Time To Die: The Shoes of James Bond

Writer's picture: Tom GoedhartTom Goedhart

One thing's for sure: James Bond isn’t particularly concerned about his footwear. When Ian Fleming first created the character, Bond preferred casual shoes like moccasins. In fact, in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Fleming even mentioned that Bond “hated shoelaces” when he dressed up.

However, the cinematic portrayal tells a different story. Daniel Craig’s interpretation of Bond showcases a discerning taste, often opting for shoes from prestigious brands like Church, John Lobb, and Sanders & Sanders.

As we dive into No Time To Die, the 25th installment of the 007 saga and Craig's final performance as the iconic spy, let’s take a look at the shoes that will accompany him on his adventures.

Crockett & Jones ‘Highbury’

Daniel Craig’s Bond has developed a fondness for Tom Ford suits and Crockett & Jones shoes, sporting the brand in his last three films.

The Highbury model is a sleek, 3-eyelet Derby shoe that Bond pairs with a tuxedo during a scene set in Cuba and with a gray Prince of Wales check suit upon his return to MI6 in London.

Drake’s ‘Crosby’ Chukka Boots

These dark brown suede boots are another staple for Bond, featuring moccasin-like stitching on the toe, striking a balance between ruggedness and sophistication.

He’ll be seen wearing Drake’s Chukka boots while enjoying time with his love interest, Madeleine Swann, in Italy, paired with a beige corduroy suit by Massimo Alba in the film’s opening.

Danner ‘007 Tannicus’ Tactical Boots

In No Time To Die, we also see a more tactical version of Bond. In a commando-style outfit by N.Peal, which includes a henley shirt and combat trousers, he dons tough, high-top black boots from Danner.

While Danner boots made a previous appearance in Spectre, the models in No Time To Die have a much more rugged and mission-ready aesthetic 😆.

Crockett & Jones ‘Molton’ Boots

Crockett & Jones makes yet another appearance, fittingly so, as it’s Daniel Craig’s preferred footwear brand in real life, and he has a significant role in the film’s wardrobe choices. These 3-eyelet chukka boots offer a more relaxed and rugged vibe, perfect for Bond’s escape from CIA agents in one pivotal scene.

With each step, Bond not only saves the world but does so with impeccable style.
