Ryan Reynolds: The Master of Borrowed Style

At 44, Ryan Reynolds isn’t just Deadpool on-screen; his irreverent charm spills over into real life. Known for his quick wit, cheeky humor, and grounded personality, Ryan also has a laid-back approach to fashion that resonates with his fans. While you won’t catch him rocking the red bodysuit off-duty, Ryan’s wardrobe is as relatable as his humor.

"My wife jokes that I don’t need a closet, just a single drawer," he laughs, referring to Blake Lively’s teasing remarks about his minimalist wardrobe.

T-Shirts: A Love That Lasts

Ryan’s style philosophy is rooted in sentimentality. Take his favorite t-shirt, for instance—a vintage find he picked up in Los Angeles in 1998 for just $4. "It used to be black, but now it’s a very distinguished gray," he jokes. Despite its age (18 years and counting), the shirt remains a staple in his wardrobe, symbolizing his loyalty to comfort and familiarity.

Chinos: The Everyday Essential

When it comes to pants, Ryan swears by his trusty Rag & Bone chinos. "I’ve got the same pair in three colors," he admits. He credits his pared-down wardrobe to a Marie Kondo-esque appreciation for things that truly spark joy. "I stick to the few pieces that feel like me, and I wear them until they practically fall apart."

Jackets: Canadian Roots and a Borrowed Favorite

Ryan’s sartorial choices are often inspired by his upbringing in Canada, where hand-me-downs were the norm. His favorite hoodie, a durable zip-up from Canadian brand Reigning Champ, reflects his appreciation for well-made basics.

But his most talked-about jacket? An olive green suede piece from Officine Générale. Originally borrowed from a stylist during a Deadpool 2 press tour, Ryan loved it so much he had to have it. "It was just perfect - practical, stylish, and versatile. So I asked if I could keep it, and now it goes with me everywhere," he shares.

Shoes: Stylish and Sentimental

Ryan’s go-to shoes are a pair of brown suede McCaffrey loafers, another keepsake from a photoshoot. "They were so comfortable that I asked if I could get a backup pair, but sadly, the model is discontinued," he laments. Much of Ryan’s wardrobe seems to come from work-related gigs, where stylists unknowingly add to his personal collection.

Hats: A Worn-Out Classic

Topping off his low-key wardrobe is a beloved 15-year-old Newsboy cap. While he no longer wears it often, fearing it might disintegrate, the cap holds sentimental value. "Blake would kill me if I ever threw it out," he laughs. "It’s so worn that it probably belongs in a museum at this point."

Ryan Reynolds doesn’t just borrow his Deadpool persona for the screen - he borrows clothes, memories, and moments, turning them into a style that’s uniquely his.
