Trashness – The Captivating Skull

Writer's picture: Tom GoedhartTom Goedhart

Hey there, readers! It’s been almost a week since my last post, and I’ve noticed many of you have been eagerly waiting for the next update. Your curiosity and excitement motivate me, and I feel more confident in the direction I’m heading with this blog. The more I connect with you, the clearer it becomes that I’m not just here to share style tips, but to accompany you in building your own personal style journey. But with that comes pressure - what should I write today? What should I post tomorrow? I often ask myself if it’s necessary to overcomplicate things and aim for something grand when sometimes simplicity is enough.

So today, I’m doing just that: writing about something I genuinely like. After all, the people who have been following me for almost three months probably share the same tastes and interests, right? 😀

Trashness has built a reputation for creating basic wardrobe staples that anyone might already own, but with a twist - sophisticated cuts and their signature embroidered logo placement that make each piece stand out.

I’ve known about Trashness for quite a while, even back when it was just a simple fashion blog with OOTD (Outfit of the Day) posts. The quality of the photos back then was far from perfect, but there was something about the brand’s vibe that caught my attention. It wasn’t until later that I saw Trashness evolve into an online store. But I must give credit where it’s due - their business strategy has been nothing short of brilliant.

Before the store officially launched, mysterious accessories like lapel pins, ties, and pocket squares featuring the Trashness skull-and-crossbones logo popped up all over the blog. This piqued curiosity and got people asking, “What is Trashness? Where can I get those products?”

And just like that, Trashness answered the call with their online store, offering free worldwide shipping - even on tiny $7 lapel pins. In my experience, the items arrive right at your door, with no extra charges, within about two weeks.

One of Trashness’s standout pieces is their Extreme Cutaway shirts, which feature an intriguingly cut collar. This design shifted my perspective on shirts - it makes them lighter, more versatile, and effortlessly stylish.

On Instagram, Trashness has a loyal following, and one of their most dedicated fans is Bienguud, who regularly features at least one Trashness item in his daily outfits.

What’s not to love about Trashness? Their style aligns perfectly with the simple, yet carefully curated look I aim for.

Plus, their customer service is top-notch. I remember once ordering a lapel pin but receiving the wrong item. I reached out to them, and their response was both friendly and generous: “Keep the mistaken product as an apology, and we’ll send you the right one right away.”

Even their email responses feel natural and personal - nothing like the standard robotic replies from other brands.

If you haven’t experienced Trashness yet, give it a try. You might just fall in love with their cool, skull-logoed pieces like I did.
