How to Elevate Your Style Every Day

Buying new clothes doesn't automatically mean you're "well-dressed." In my experience, it's the small, gradual changes - the attention to the details - that make all the difference.

Style isn't something anyone can impose on you - forcing yourself to follow trends is a sure way to miss the mark. Only you can determine what feels right for you. 😉

Plan Ahead for Tomorrow's Outfit

Preparation is key. Spend 10-15 minutes before bed thinking about what you'll wear the next day. If you have time, ironing your shirt in advance can make a huge difference.

Alternatively, take an hour on Sunday to plan 5-10 outfit combinations for various scenarios (rainy days, business meetings, dates, etc.). Lay them out on your bed and snap photos with your phone for future reference. That way, if you’re running late after a Wednesday night out, you won't waste time deciding what to wear Thursday morning. It saves time and helps avoid fashion slip-ups when you're in a rush. 😉

Feeling Stuck in a Style Rut?

I get it. Your current style may be solid, but sometimes it can feel a bit stale. No need to completely revamp your wardrobe - just make a few key updates.

A button-down shirt with collar stays can elevate your look with minimal effort.

Try swapping your everyday sneakers for a pair of sleek derby or monk-strap shoes that also pair well with jeans. Or, trade in your t-shirt for a stylish button-down shirt.

Make Carrying a Bag Part of Your Routine

Minimalism is great, but carrying a few essentials like your laptop, keys, and phone isn’t a bad idea. If you’re wearing dress pants, you'll notice that keeping your wallet and phone in your pockets can distort the shape of your pants, sometimes creating a less-than-flattering silhouette. Bags are here to fix that!

A briefcase, handbag, backpack, or crossbody bag can be a practical addition that also serves as a fresh focal point for your outfit.

Match Your Leather Accessories by Shade

While we often mix neutral colors like black, gray, navy, and white, matching your leather accessories is important. Stick to similar tones for items like belts, shoes, bags, and bracelets.

Don’t stress about perfectly matching every piece. Finding exact shades can be tricky, but subtle variations still work well. For instance, a dark gray belt and black shoes can complement each other, just as various shades of brown (chestnut, tan, etc.) can work together seamlessly.

Take Care of Your Skin

A great look starts from the skin up. If you're already using a daily face cleanser, you're on the right track. But why not take it further by adding a toner, moisturizer, and treatments for acne or blemishes?

Don’t be shy about using a few skincare products. A solid routine will not only improve your complexion but also boost your overall appearance. It’s about more than just a face wash - take care of your skin, and the rest will follow.

Improve Your Posture

It’s simple but effective: standing tall does wonders for your physique and your confidence. Even if you're wearing a sharp outfit, slouching can completely ruin your look.
